This morning at 02:08hrs company 5 was dispatched for a reported semi truck on fire on interstate 80 east bound near the 116 mile marker. Engine 5 responded with 4 personnel and was advised by communications taking multiple calls the semi truck was hauling paper but the driver disconnected the trailer and pulled away from the exposure. Upon arrival they confirmed a working fire and quickly deployed the front bumper line. Chief 5 had command then requested 2 additional engine tankers for water and manpower for mop up operations. Hyde Fire Company and Rescue Hose and Ladder from Curwensville both responded to assist. Crews operated for over 2 hours.
