Company 5 was alerted for a vehicle accident with fire and possible entrapment, the vehicle was to be in to a structure. Lieutenant 5 James Hardy arrived on scene within seconds after witnessing the accident and was able to begin extrication and hold the fire until crews arrived. Engine 5 arrived on scene and crews were able to put the remaining fire out. Crews then assisted with traffic control. The driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The cause is still under investigation by Lawrence Township Police.
