Company 5 volunteers were busy this past weekend handling six calls and sharpening skills with numerous trainings. Saturday morning members were out early assisting Clearfield EMS with vehicle extrication tactics for an EMT class currently underway. Nine members spent approximately four hours at the class. Two members were also out of town taking a final burn class, as part as the essentials of firefighting program.

Sunday brought more calls for service throughout the day ranging from brush fires to motor vehicle accidents. A joint training session then took place with the Clearfield Boro, Glen Richey, and Hyde Fire Departments in an acquired structure on Cherry Street in Clearfield Boro. Ten members participated in training.
