On July 16th, Company 5 was alerted to assist the Rescue Hose & Ladder with a house fire in the area of Carr’s Hill, Pike Township. Engine 5 responded shortly after with a crew of 6 and was instructed by Deputy 8 to lay hose up the driveway due to the limited access for fire units. Once on scene the crew pulled several attack lines to try and knock down the heavy fire showing. Additional crews arrived and assisted with fire suppression. Due to the high temperatures and limited water supply, several companies were called in to assist. Crews remained on scene for several hours before being released by Incident Command.
