Phase One of the Mill Road Fallen Firefighter’s Memorial

SHARE

Sometimes we forget there are brave people looking out for us. They are the ones who put everything on the line so that others can benefit.

The Lawrence Township Volunteer Fire Company #1 is proud to announce the completion of “phase one” of the Mill Road Fallen Firefighter’s Memorial located adjacent to the 429 Mill Road Fire Station.

The memorial pays tribute to Honorary Lieutenant Jeffrey Scott Buck Jr. and all other fallen firefighters who have sacrificed all to benefit others.

In the start of 2016 the Lawrence Township Fire Department #1 purchased the property adjacent to the fire station with the concept of designing a memorial to honor Jeffrey Buck Jr. and those who have dedicated their lives to protecting others. After multiple offers, the LTFD Memorial Committee decided to select Gilliland Landscape of Clearfield for the final design and construction of the memorial.

After completion, the memorial now stands as a permanent reminder to those who gave all. The LTFD would like to thank the community for their support since the LODD of Jeffrey Buck. Anyone wishing to visit the memorial can do so throughout the week or weekend. Donations are still being accepted to offset the cost of construction and future maintenance of the memorial.

Anyone interested in assisting may send an addressed envelope to: LTFD Memorial Committee; 321 Mill Road, Clearfield PA 16830.
