On May 17th, 2017 Company 5 was alerted to asssit Clearfield Boro Fire Department with a structure fire at the address of 306 W. Market Street. Initial reports indicated smoke showing with all occupants out.

Upon arrival crews located a working basement fire and assisted Company 1 with stretching a hand line for an initial attack. Members of Company 5 then located a second fire on the second floor as a result of extension through the HVAC system. Members from both companies were able to extinguish the fires without issues and operated on scene for approximately 2 hours. A cause of the fire is still under investigation by PSP Fire Marshall.
