On January 15th around 00:32hrs, Company 5 was dispatched for a reported semi truck fire on Interstate 80 West bound in Pine Township. Communications received multiple reports for the cab to be fully involved not disconnected from the trailer. Upon arrival of Chief 5, both the truck and trailer were involved hauling paper products, he immediately added Company  41, and Company 40 for water supply and manpower. Engine 5 with a crew of 4 arrived moments after and placed 2 attack lines in service. The high winds caused rapid fire spread as well as spot fires to occur in the wooded area beside the interstate and the median. Both Attack units from 40 and 41 extinguished the multiple spot fires in the area of the incident. Crews operated for over two hours on the incident.
