Minor MVA

On May 1st, Company 5 was alerted to assist Lawrence Township Police with clean up of a MVA along Clearfield Shawville Hwy.

Landing Zone

On April 30th, Company 5 was alerted to assist Goshen Fire Company with a landing zone along Amos Road in Goshen Township. Initial reports indicated an fall patient from a ladder outside with EMS requesting a helicopter to the scene.

April Snow brings MVA’s

On April 18th, a winter weather advisory was issued to Clearfield County by the National Weather Service. At approximately 2pm, Company 5 was first alerted for a motor vehicle accident along State Park Road with injuries.

Smoke in a Cabin

On April 16th, Company 5 was alerted to assist Penfield FD with a possible structure fire located at 2650 Mud Run Rd; Parker Dam State Park. Initial reports indicated a possible flu fire with smoke inside a camper’s cabin.

Fuel Spill

On April 15th, Company 5 was alerted for a fuel spill located at 15196 Clearfield Shawville Hwy; Sapp Brothers Truck Stop. Initial reports indicated a small diesel spill at the fuel pumps.

Working Fire

On April 5th, Company 5 was dispatched to the address of 212 Hill Street for a reported structure fire. Initial 911 calls indicated flames and smoke visible from underneath the residence.

Vehicle Fire

On April 4th, Company 5 was alerted to a working vehicle fire in the area of 114 mile marker of Interstate 80. Initial reports indicated a passenger car with smoke coming from under the hood. Deputy 5 went enroute and 911 dispatch advised of multiple calls reporting the vehicle to be fully engulfed.

Crash With Injuries

On March 30th, Company 5 units were dispatched for a vehicle accident in the area of the off ramp, Exit 120 of Interstate 80. Multiple calls were reporting a pickup truck off the road that had possibly overturned.

Company 5 Training Night

Tuesday evening company members practiced different hose line evolutions and radio communication . Members used the Fairground grandstand as a simulation for a building fire. On March 18th, Company 5 was alerted to assist Grampian Fire Department with a third alarm structure fire located at 616 Haytown Rd.
