On October 27th, Company 5 was dispatched to a possible fire at the address of 1661 Martin Street in Lawrence Township known as Novey Recycling. Initial reports indicated an explosion with heavy smoke in the area. Engine 5 responded and arrived on scene to find five recycled school buses fully involved. The box was upgraded  for additional water with help requested from Clearfield FD, Curwensville FD and Hyde FD. Crews were able to contain the fire to the used buses without incident. Units operated on scene for approximately 2 hours.
