On October 18th, Company 5 was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident along Interstate 80 near the 116 eastbound mile marker. Initial reports indicated unknown injuries, unknown entrapment. Chief 5 along with Rescue 5 responded arriving on scene to find the sole occupant self extricated with minor injuries. Crews provided traffic control and scene lighting until towing and PSP could arrive.  Crews cleared shortly after.
